CLC purchased this store in July of 2003 and is proud to continue the tradition of serving the urban church community that Grace Bookstore was known for. This location is only two blocks from the Liberty Bell and has been in operation as a Christian Bookstore since 1949. It is known for a huge selection of Sunday School Curriculum that are in stock every quarter and for a great selection of books and Bibles and church supplies. Since the purchase, CLC has added much more music and new gift items as well as updating the selection of greeting cards. CLC will be bringing new life to this great location by adding lunch time events such as musical performances and author signings. This store is proud to be known as the Sunday School Headquarters of Philadelphia.

This is our flagship store and is the largest Christian bookstore in Philadelphia. Begun in 1978, this store was started as direct answer to the prayers of a small group of women who were praying for a Christian store to open in Northwest Philadelphia as there were no Christian stores serving this urban community. From humble beginnings this store grew to 6500 square feet in size (doubling in size twice in the last 6 years). This store is known for its large selection of Urban Gospel Music and the many in store events held each month with local, regional and national gospel music artists. Over the years, many of gospel’s most popular musicians including Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Vicky Winans have performed in the store. It is also the main training location for CLC missionaries preparing to go overseas and is one of the key sources of funding for CLC’s overseas ministry in countries as diverse as Jamaica and Azerbaijan. This store has a wide selection of books, Bibles, gifts, cards, church supplies and of course music.

After over twenty years of successful Christian retailing in the Moorestown area, former owners Lou and Sandy Muckenfuss sold their store to CLC to ensure it’s future and allow it to continue as a lighthouse in the community. Sonshine became a CLC Bookcenter on November 2nd, 2007 – the same day that CLC celebrated 60 years of God’s faithfulness in the USA. This store is the largest and most comprehensive of it’s type in the entire south New Jersey region and is great fit for the CLC USA family. With the addition of this store, CLC is now the largest Christian retail ministry in the Philadelphia/ South Jersey area.

The CLC Bookcenter at First African Baptist in Sharon Hill, PA. is the fulfillment of a long term dream of Pastor Richard Dent and the First African Baptist Church family. This historic partnership with CLC had been in the planning and discussion phase for nearly three years.To God's glory, this plan was fully realized Sunday, October 28, 2007, when CLC launched it’s second church store in the USA. Today, this store is a beacon of hope to the Sharon Hill community and a resource center for this vibrant congregation.

This store has been in operation as a Christian bookstore for over 40 years. CLC took over ownership in the early 1980’s and has continued the high level of service to the greater Atlantic City area ever since. Conveniently located near Atlantic City, Ocean City and Pleasantville, NJ it serves a diverse clientele and is a primary source of Christian resources for the church community. The staff are known for excellent product knowledge and an ability to find what customers need, no matter how obscure. The store has a good selection of books, Bibles, music, gifts, cards and church supplies. More recently the store has begun to host events for customers including workshops and in-store performances. A highlight every year is our summer concert in the parking lot that draws people from many miles around.

This store is CLC’s first official store in a church. It developed from a longstanding partnership with Bishop Ernest Morris and the Mt. Airy church family. Mt. Airy is an urban mega-church with a seating capacity of up to 3000 people and ministers to the entire North Philadelphia community. The store is run by volunteers of the church and is open on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-9PM and on Sundays after services. We hope to expand the hours of operation within the next year. This partnership has allowed CLC and Mt. Airy to co-host major events with artists such as Cece Winans and Martha Munizzi offering these concerts free of charge to the public.
